State-of-the-art Dental Technology
Laser Dentistry and Cleanings
Say goodbye to the loud noises and discomfort of traditional dental drills. We utilize advanced dental lasers for soft-tissue procedures and deep periodontal cleanings. Laser dentistry targets bacteria with pinpoint accuracy, minimizes bleeding, eliminates the need for stitches, and drastically accelerates your recovery time.
Efficient Digital Paperless Charting
Our completely digital office uses secure, paperless electronic charting. This keeps your dental records, treatment histories, and digital X-rays organized in one highly secure location. This streamlined system allows us to instantly coordinate with your insurance provider or quickly transfer records to specialists if needed.
We Use Dental Intraoral Cameras
We believe in collaborative dental care. Using a small, pen-sized intraoral camera covered in a protective hygienic sheath, we can take real-time, full-color video of the inside of your mouth. These images are instantly projected onto a large chairside monitor so you can see exactly what Dr. Salami sees, helping you make informed decisions about your treatment plan.
Dr. Salami uses an intraoral camera, which is a camera-tipped wand the size of a pen. Dr. Salami or the hygienist will cover the intraoral camera in a disposable plastic sheath that protects against contamination before inserting the wand-shaped device into your mouth. The camera takes a video of the inside of your mouth and transmits the images to a computing unit via cable. The computing unit enlarges the full-color images and displays them on a TV screen that you can comfortably view from your seat in the dental chair.
Digital Smile Design & Lifesize Wax-Up Models
Want to see your new smile before your treatment even begins? For cosmetic transformations like porcelain veneers or full mouth reconstructions, we use Digital Smile Design paired with custom lifesize wax-up models. This allows you to visually “test drive” the shape, symmetry, and fit of your restorations, ensuring your final results are absolutely perfect.
What is a dental wax-up used for?
Dr. Salami fabricates a wax-up model of your jaws and teeth to test:
- Prosthetics
- Veneers
- Single-tooth dental implants
- and other dental treatments to ensure an ideal fit
If adjustments are needed, Dr. Salami can adapt those changes to the model before sending your case to the dental laboratory. The dental wax-ups give us a realistic projection of how your dental work will look and function, resulting in more accurate dental restorations.
Experience the Difference of Modern Dentistry
Advanced dental technology is only as good as the hands that guide it. Dr. Pegah Salami combines years of clinical expertise with these modern innovations to deliver a gentle, precise, and rewarding dental experience for families throughout Rancho Bernardo, Poway, and the greater San Diego area.
